Virtual University Overseas Exam System

The virtual university in Pakistan has adapted its examination systems to cater to the needs of both local and overseas students. They ensure that the examination process is secure, fair, and convenient for all, whether students are physically present in Pakistan or located abroad.

Virtual University Overseas Exam System

A. Conducting Overseas Exams

Home-Based Exams: For overseas students who are unable to travel to Pakistan for exams, the Virtual University offers a different arrangement. These students are allowed to take their exams from the comfort of their own homes.

B.Date Sheet for Overseas Students at Virtual University of Pakistan

Virtual University of Pakistan offers a unique date sheet arrangement for its overseas students, allowing them to set their midterm and final term exam dates according to Pakistan Standard Time (PST). Here are the details of how overseas students can create their date sheet:

(i). Procedure for Making the Date Sheet

  1. Visit the Virtual University Date Sheet Page:

To begin the process of setting your exam dates, you need to visit the official Virtual University date sheet page. This page is accessible through Virtual University’s online learning management system (VULMS).

2. Login Using Your VULMS ID and Password:

Once you access the date sheet page, log in using your VULMS ID and password. This step is essential to verify your identity and ensure that you have the necessary permissions to create your date sheet.

3. Select ‘OVERSEAS’:

After logging in, overseas students should specifically select the ‘OVERSEAS’ option. This choice indicates that you are an overseas student and eligible for the unique date sheet arrangement.

4. Set Exam Date and Start Time for Each Course:

For each of your courses, you will have the flexibility to select an available exam date and start time of your own choice. This flexibility allows you to schedule your exams according to your convenience and time zone.

5. Click the “Confirm” Button:

After selecting the exam date and start time for a particular course, click the “Confirm” button to confirm your selection. This action saves your chosen exam date and time for that specific course.

6. Repeat for Remaining Courses:

You will need to repeat step 5 for all your remaining courses one by one. This means that for each course, you can individually choose an exam date and time that aligns with your schedule.

By following these steps, overseas students at Virtual University can create their own personalized date sheets, ensuring that they can take their midterm and final term exams at times that are convenient and in accordance with Pakistan Standard Time (PST). This system caters to the diverse geographical locations of overseas students while maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

C. Travel Notice for Students Taking Exams in Pakistan

For students who are planning to travel to Pakistan to take their exams, it is important to follow a specific process to ensure a smooth examination experience. Here are the details of the travel notice:

  1. Notification Requirement

One Week Prior to Departure: Students who intend to travel to Pakistan for their exams are required to notify the examination department at least one week before their departure. This notification should be sent via email to the designated email address: [email protected].

  1. Physical Attendance Requirement

Mandatory Local Exam Centers: When students arrive in Pakistan, they must be prepared for physical attendance at a designated local exam center. Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) does not allow online exams within the country. This means that students cannot take their exams remotely from their own location; they must appear in person at the specified exam center.

  1. Failure to Notify or Comply

Consequences for Non-Compliance: It is crucial for students to adhere to the notification requirement and the physical attendance mandate at local exam centers. Failure to notify the examination department or comply with these guidelines may result in several issues, including:

  • Exam Scheduling Problems: Notifying the department may lead to difficulties in scheduling your exams, potentially causing scheduling conflicts.
  • Inability to Take the Exam: If you do not appear at the local exam center as required, you may not be allowed to take the exam, which could have academic consequences.
