These recorded lectures are accessible to the public through the VU’s open courseware website as well as on youtube.com/vu.

Mode of Education of The Virtual University of Pakistan

The Virtual University follows a semester system, allowing students to study at their own pace, place, and convenience. With more than 200 campuses throughout Pakistan. The students have the opportunity to access academic activities from their VULMS. The flexibility to study at home and the widespread virtual campuses align with the university’s goal of providing “World Class Education at Your Doorstep” and eliminate the need for students to relocate to larger cities for higher education.

However, the university suggests a “Time Plan” to guide students and help them manage their study time better during the semester. In addition, students can also purchase DVDs of video lectures from the university’s online bookshop.

The Virtual University of Pakistan employs a formal assessment and evaluation system similar to that used by traditional higher education institutions. The university provides comprehensive student-teacher interaction and support through the VULMS, while formal semester examinations are conducted in supervised environments at designated examination centers across the country.
