Virtual University’s Mobile Bio Lab Enhances Education
The Virtual University of Pakistan has reached a new milestone by delivering laboratory services to the University of Turbat via a Mobile Bio Laboratory, popularly known as the ‘Lab on Wheels.’ This program was launched at UoT in order to improve academic excellence and develop research.
The primary goal of this Mobile Lab is to engage students from UoT’s Natural and Basic Sciences departments, as well as the Chemistry Department, in real scientific laboratory activities. It connects theoretical knowledge to its practical application in their respective disciplines.
Prof. Dr. Muhsin Javed, Registrar of Virtual University, explained the background and motivations for the establishment of this Mobile Laboratory. He emphasized that it was introduced to UoT in response to an invitation from UoT Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad. He further said that the Lab on Wheels is outfitted with cutting-edge scientific instruments and chemicals, allowing students to do practical experiments related to their studies.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor of UoT noted on the occasion that this groundbreaking effort would provide science students with numerous opportunities to apply their academic knowledge through actual experimentation. Prof. Dr. Saleem Bhatti, Rector of the Virtual University of Pakistan, was thanked by UoT’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for the collaborative efforts between the University of Turbat and the Virtual University, which will significantly improve scientific education and laboratory work at UoT.
