Virtual University 13th Convocation Lahore scheduled December 30, 2023
Greetings to the esteemed graduates attending the 13th Convocation at Virtual University of Pakistan, M.A Jinnah Campus, Lahore, scheduled for Saturday, December 30, 2023, starting promptly at 09:30 am.
Invitation letters have been dispatched to all registered graduates. Please be informed that entry into the venue is strictly for cardholders. To ensure smooth access, kindly print your invitation cards, namely the Student Entry Card and Guest Entry Card, from the provided link: https://www.vu.edu.pk/convocation/
Please take note of the following essential guidelines:
- Entry into the convocation hall is restricted to registered individuals. On-spot registration will not be entertained.
- Children, unfortunately, will not be permitted inside the convocation hall.
- Each invitee is allowed one guest whose details must be specified on the Guest card. Please note that any changes to the guest details will not be permitted.
- Certain items like mobile phones, cameras, electronic gadgets, and handbags are strictly prohibited inside the convocation hall. Kindly deposit these items at the collection counters before entry. The university will not hold responsibility for these items.
- For entry, you must present your original CNIC and the invitation card(s). Additionally, bring two copies of your CNIC—one for registration and another for potential degree collection if not already obtained.
- Attire, including gown/hat/hood, is available on a rental basis for Rs. 300/-, along with a refundable security deposit of Rs. 1,500/-.
- Professional photographers will be present for those interested in their services, although it’s at your expense.
- Food and weapons are strictly prohibited inside the convocation hall.
- Vehicles equipped with CNG kits will not be allowed within the venue premises.
Additionally, for graduates maintaining decorum during the ceremony:
- Wear your gown, hood, and cap throughout the event.
Please rise when the Academic Procession enters and exits the Convocation Hall and during the conferment of degrees related to your program or batch.
- For distinction holders receiving honors on stage:
- Register at the defined Registration Area and inform the Ushers of your distinction.
- Ushers will guide you to your designated seating area and assist in the queue for stage movement.
- Upon hearing your name announced, walk across the stage to receive your awards/honors from the Chief Guest/Rector. Photography will be conducted at this moment.
- After receiving your honors, return to your seat as guided by the Usher.
