Specialization Certificate
This program is tailored for graduates with a 16-year education in any discipline. Its objective is to enhance skills, academic qualifications, and professional expertise while minimizing study costs. By doing so, it expands students’ knowledge and opens increased career opportunities in the rapidly changing and competitive business environment.
Objectives
- To give students the opportunity to improve their knowledge in various business disciplines.
- To offer a variety of abilities in many areas.
Eligibility
The applicant must have successfully completed at least 16 years of formal study in any field from a reputable university or institution.
Rules and Regulations
- Candidates may apply for admission to the University during the spring or fall semesters in one field of a Specialization Certificate.
- The candidate must meet the minimum requirement of 12 credits for the specialization certificate.
- There are no course exemptions for the Specialization Certificate.
- The candidate cannot enroll in more than one specialization Certificate at the same time.
- The duration of the specialization Certificate program cannot be less than one semester or more than three semesters.
Duration
It is a one-semester program. Each semester is 18 weeks long.

Assessment of Study Progress
The evaluation of student’s academic progress is based on continuous assessment throughout the semester, including assignments, online quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), and mid-term and final-term exams. The mid and final-term exams are conducted at VU’s designated exam centers and typically account for 80-85% of the total marks for a course.
Certificate of Specialization Awarded
- After successfully completing the prerequisites, the University will issue a specialization Certificate displaying the courses of the respective field of specialization, grade, and grade point average.
- If a candidate does not pass the specialization certificate exam, he or she must withdraw from the original program and apply for admission to another specialization.
- If a student does not successfully complete all the needed courses for the specific specialization certificate, an incomplete transcript or course certificate will be awarded to him or her at the specified fee.
