Welcome to the Virtual University of Pakistan through self-learning in the digital world of virtual education. I congratulate you on choosing us for your higher qualifications. I am informing you that Self-learning is an important skill for employment or entrepreneurship, and the virtual university of Pakistan offers the necessary tools to learn at your own pace.
You will have access to access video lectures from the best teachers in the country via TV and the Internet. Our LMS provides freedom to go through lectures, hold discussions with teachers and students, and perform academic activities.
Virtual University monitors your work like a traditional classroom. However, educational content is available 24/7, making it “The University that never sleeps.” You can access lectures, reading material, exams, quizzes, and assignments anytime and from anywhere, without location restrictions.
The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom established Virtual University almost 20 years ago intending to provide quality education to all deserving students, regardless of their location, using modern ICT infrastructure. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the world to think of innovative ways to educate and train younger generations.
Unlike many universities that have recently transitioned to online education, Virtual University has spent the past 20 years mastering online education and developing a state-of-the-art Virtual University Learning Management System (VULMS), online examination system, and other functions performed by traditional universities.
Prepare for a unique learning experience as the virtual mode of education will enable you to become an independent and mature learner, which is the ultimate goal of education. The Virtual University Learning Management System (VULMS) is the key component of virtual learning, and it has all the necessary functions required during your studies.
It is recommended to learn all the functions of LMS as it will ease your learning process and develop your pace. Logging into LMS daily is essential as the University will reach you through it. Keep track of your progress to overcome any weaknesses you may have.
The faculty of the university is available to assist students in their virtual learning. Students are encouraged to use the tools provided in the LMS to communicate with their teachers, clarify doubts, and schedule meetings. Please do not hesitate in contacting your teacher, however, students should keep in mind that it may take some time for the teacher to respond.
Virtual University has a student body spread across Pakistan and regularly organizes extracurricular activities such as sports, debates, and social events like blood donation and raising charity, green Pakistan. These activities are crucial for character development and VU places special emphasis on them to enable students to become useful citizens of Pakistan. Through these activities, students can contribute to society in various ways.
