Associate Degree Program in Supply Chain Management

The Associate Degree Program in Supply Chain Management is a program designed for individuals who have completed 12 years of education and are interested in pursuing a career in supply chain management. The program aims to equip candidates with the necessary skills to handle routine tasks related to supply chain management, including procurement, distribution, warehousing, and logistics.

Additionally, the program aims to provide candidates with an understanding of implementing supply chain strategies and evaluating supply chain practices for continuous improvement and quality enhancement. The curriculum is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of supply chain management and align students with the latest developments in the field.

Virtual University Degree Program in Supply Chain Management

The program intends to build capacity by providing practical knowledge to students. Graduates of the program are expected to be employed in entry-level jobs in procurement, warehouse/logistics, sales/distribution, quality control, and operations departments of public sector enterprises and private corporations.

Objectives

  • To equip candidates with the necessary skills to handle routine tasks related to supply chain management, including procurement, distribution, warehousing, and logistics.
  • To provide candidates with an understanding of implementing supply chain strategies and evaluating supply chain practices for continuous improvement and quality enhancement.
  • To provide in-depth knowledge related to supply chain management and to align students with the latest developments in the field.
  • To create capacity building by providing practical knowledge to students.
  • To prepare graduates of the program for entry-level jobs in procurement, warehouse/logistics, sales/distribution, quality control, and operations departments of both public sector enterprises and private corporations.

Eligibility

12 years of Education, minimum 45% marks, FA/FSC/ICS/I.COM

  1. Candidates who have completed ‘A’ levels must provide an equivalence certificate from the Inter Board Committee of the Chairman in Islamabad.
  2. Candidates with less than 45% marks can be admitted after completing the “Zero Semester“.

Degree Duration

This program is a two-year full-time course, divided into four semesters, each semester has at least 18 weeks for teaching and examinations.

Assessment of Study Progress

Student’s academic progress is assessed continuously during the semester through assignments, online quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), midterm exams, and final exams. The midterm and final exams, which make up 80-85% of a course, are managed at the locations of the virtual university’s designated exam centers all over Pakistan and overseas.

Project or Internship

  • Students must complete a Final Year Project of 3 Credit Hours. Students must consult their advisor before selecting a final project. They must submit a written report and may be asked to present it.
  • Internship course students must complete a 6 to 8-week internship in an organization and obtain an internship letter from that organization. Currently employed students are exempt from the internship requirement but must submit a project.

Degree Awarded

In order to be awarded an Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management, a student must complete at least 66 credit hours of coursework with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 out of 4.
