Associate Degree Program in Sales and Marketing

The Associate Degree Program in Sales and Marketing is a two-year academic program that is designed to provide individuals who have completed 12 years of education with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the sales and marketing business in both local and global marketplaces.

The program aims to equip students with a foundational understanding of marketing and supply chain management and the skills necessary to develop and implement business plans. Additionally, the program seeks to develop students’ skills in formulating and planning the selling of products, as well as promoting and delivering products or services in response to customer requirements.

Virtual University Associate Degree Program in Sales and Marketing

The program’s curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including marketing principles and practices, customer relationship management, branding and advertising, sales techniques, and supply chain management. The program also includes practical exercises and case studies to help students develop their skills in real-world situations.

Upon completing the program, graduates will be equipped with the skills necessary to pursue entry-level jobs in the marketing, procurement, and sales/distribution departments. They will have a strong understanding of marketing and supply chain management basics and the ability to develop and implement business plans. The candidates will also have the skills to formulate and plan the selling of products and promote and deliver products or services in response to customer requirements.

Objectives

  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of marketing principles and practices, including customer relationship management, branding and advertising, and sales techniques.
  • Develop and implement effective business plans that address the needs and goals of the organization.
  • Formulate and plan the selling of products, including pricing strategies, product positioning, and distribution channels.
  • Promote and deliver products or services in response to customer requirements, including understanding the customer’s needs and preferences, and designing effective marketing campaigns to reach them.
  • Manage the supply chain effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products or services.
  • Understand the basics of international business and how to operate in a global marketplace.
  • Pursue entry-level jobs in marketing, procurement, and sales/distribution departments in public enterprises and private corporations, or become self-employed in the sales and marketing business.

Eligibility

12 years of Education, minimum 45% marks, FA/FSC/ICS/I.COM

  1. Candidates who have completed ‘A’ levels must provide an equivalence certificate from the Inter Board Committee of the Chairman in Islamabad.
  2. Candidates with less than 45% marks can be admitted after completing the “Zero Semester“.

Degree Duration

This program is a two-year full-time course, divided into four semesters, each semester has at least 18 weeks for teaching and examinations.

Assessment of Study Progress

Student’s academic progress is assessed continuously during the semester through assignments, online quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), midterm exams, and final exams. The midterm and final exams, which make up 80-85% of a course, are managed at the locations of the virtual university’s designated exam centers all over Pakistan and overseas.

Project or Internship

  • Students must complete a Final Year Project of 3 Credit Hours. Students must consult their advisor before selecting a final project. They must submit a written report and may be asked to present it.
  • Internship course students must complete a 6 to 8-week internship in an organization and obtain an internship letter from that organization. Currently employed students are exempt from the internship requirement but must submit a project.

Degree Awarded

In order to be awarded an Associate Degree in Sales and Marketing, a student must complete at least 66 credit hours of coursework with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 out of 4.
