Diploma in Human Resource Management

The Diploma in Human Resource Management program is a specialized educational program designed to develop the skills and competencies of HR practitioners. The program aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the field of Human Resource Management. The program is suitable for all types of graduates, including business and non-business graduates, doctors, engineers, and other specialists serving in HR departments or those who intend to pursue higher studies in the field of HRM but have no previous knowledge.

The program covers various topics related to human resource management, such as recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and employment law. It is designed to provide students with practical and theoretical knowledge of HRM, which is necessary for a successful career in the HR department of any organization.

Associate Degree Program in Human Resource Managemen

The program is structured in a way that allows students to gain practical experience and develop relevant skills through case studies, assignments, and projects. Students are taught by experienced professionals who have real-world experience in HRM and related fields. This enables students to learn from their experience and gain valuable insights into the industry.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in HRM. Graduates can work in roles such as HR specialist, HR manager, recruitment manager, talent development manager, and other HR-related positions. The program also provides a solid foundation for students who want to pursue a higher degree in the field of HRM, such as a master’s degree in HRM or an MBA with an HR specialization.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/ADP) or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university/institution, and a minimum of 45% marks or a CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.
  • Candidates with less than 45% marks can be admitted after completing the “Zero Semester”.

Course Exemption

Course exemption is not allowed for this program.

Degree Duration

The program is structured as a one-year course, comprising two semesters with each semester having a duration of 18 weeks. Each semester consists of five courses.

Assessment of Study Progress

The evaluation of student’s academic progress is based on continuous assessment throughout the semester, including assignments, online quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), and mid-term and final term exams. The mid and final-term exams are conducted at VU’s designated exam centers and typically account for 80-85% of the total marks for a course.

Award of Diploma

To receive the Diploma in Diploma Human Resource Management, students must complete a minimum of two semesters of coursework, consisting of at least 36 credit hours, and achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.
